I am a Laboratory Safety Specialist and I have been employed at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte since July 2016. I work in the laboratory safety group within EHS and assists with the Bloodborne Pathogen, Respiratory Protection, Radiation Safety and the Chemical Hygiene Programs.
I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Health. I chose this occupation because I was previously a Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) and saw many individuals after they were ill or injured. I want to prevent those illnesses and injuries so individuals can live a healthy and happy life.
In my spare time I like to travel, hunt, go to the beach, play sports, and spend time with my family and two dogs.
